Body Work has been designed to work the whole body but specifically to strengthen the muscles of your core and legs. The class takes place using a mat on the floor and begins with a warm up from which all muscle groups work are worked gradually starting from the abdominals, the back, the external and internal muscles of the hips and the gluteal muscles. This is a non-load bearing programme which focusses on dynamic movements contrasted with small almost static movements which require both great control and give the best results in training. Body Work is excellent as a preparation for classical dance but is completely accessible for all levels of adult student. It produces noticeable results in change of body shape and posture through the minutely modulated and proportional work of the muscles which provides stability and body control. Everyone says they feel different after the first class.
